Serie Cannoli, using traditional cursive kanelur on the toiling ancient columns, uses this element of the series and determines it’s new shape but the function has remained the same. The design adheres to simplicity, fine shapes and strong details. The series of cups is rigorous and exact, while their rounding softens the feeling of hardness, both of material and overall shape. Embossed kanelours are found in almost the entire cup area. Just as on the ancient columns everything had merit, here there is room to highlight both the legs and the rim of the cup. The plates make perfect use of the stackability function. A series of cups and plates has been devised to work with Kreavitral, which is attempting to redevelop this historically defunct material. She approached us students about designing new shapes.
Serie Cannoli, využívá tradiční tvarosloví kanelur na dřících antických sloupů, tento prvek série využívá a určuje mu nový tvar ale funkce zůstala stejná. Návrh se drží jednoduchosti, jemných tvarů a důrazných detailů. Série hrnků je přísná a exaktní, naopak jejich zaoblení zjemňuje pocit tvrdosti, jak materiálu, tak i celkového tvaru. Reliéfní kanelury se vyskytují v téměř celé ploše hrnku. Stejně jako na antických sloupech mělo vše své opodstatnění, zde se dává prostor pro zvýraznění jak nožiček tak i okraje hrnku. Talíře využívají naprosto funkci stohovatelnosti. Série hrnků a talířů byla vymyšlena k spolupráci s firmou Kreavitral, která se pokouší tento historicky zaniklý materiál znovu vyvinout. Oslovila nás studenty k navrhnutí nových tvarů.
